 We manufacture a special VISGAGE used to check viscosity of fire-resistant hydraulic fluid or water glycol. We utilize a Model #2 VISGAGE and install the specific water glycol fluid that you wish to check in the reference tube of the instrument. The operator checks the fluid in operation by comparing directly to the fluid viscosity standard in the reference tube.
Checking the viscosity of your fire-resistant hydraulic fluid and maintaining proper viscosity will help to assure continuous operation at peak efficiency. The operator may add an appropriate amount of water in order to maintain the viscosity of their fluid in the recommended or normal operating range. Additionally, a loss of water can decrease the fire-resistance properties of the hydraulic fluid. |
